Packed up two boxes ready to send back to Korea…mainly of lollies and clothing (non-essential stuff along with essential stuff like bras and leggings that actually fit me etc). And a lot of candy unique to my country. I love watching the students try it for the first time. They are so scared and hesistant, because they never really know if it’s going to be good (like the candy Bananas) or horrible (Musk sticks or Liquorice).
about 15 kilograms. Maybe closer to 20 when I get done with it. Oh how I wish i had a generous baggage allowance, but this time I’ve got 20kg and 7kg because of the way all my flight legs work out.
Just went on ebay and checked I can buy some of the heavy stuff (i need stuff for my scalp etc) I was going to buy here. Not much difference in price, until i think about how much more postage it would cost for me to send it after buying it here.
Unfortunately, my annual ‘here, fix all my clothing and alter this, and repair this, and hem this, can you change the straps?’ bill at my alteration store costs $160 bucks. But these are dresses I adore, and if I fix them, will have for many years to come. Probably 20 bucks a piece in repairs, but some of the dresses I only paid 10 for. Others, I paid 80 for, a long long time ago- so it’s moneys worth, right?
My unneccessary bring backs? A giant batman lego man, because I can’t let him go, glitter high heels that I love, some giant bulldog clips etc etc. Mainly because it’s either take or dump, because of the family situation.
Just trying to keep to my budget- haven’t done so bad so far….but it’s getting close, and I’m going to go over a bit. But thats okay, compared to last year’s ‘return home’ trip where I went ape crazy with everything.
