Saw my dad tonight. That was nice.

Before I walked in I double checked with my best friend whether it was unreasonable of me to not want to meet my father’s girlfriend or whatever they call themselves (since she is still technically with her partner)

She said it wasn’t.

I don’t want to meet her. I don’t think it’s appropriate or just simply necessary. Not this trip home.

One of the first things dad says? “what do you think if I was to call my friend (insert name)”

I just said “ummmm I don’t know about that”

And I think that was reasonable right ? It’s one of the first times we meet in a year. I’m dealing with my mother and my own emotions- do you really need to invite her or think about introducing us?

Let alone even normally- if all was peachy. Take a night off from her and see your daughter for the first real time in a year.

Puzzles me why he asked about inviting her. Maybe he wants us to meet- but I don’t care for that.
